Michigan State University is proud to honor our Postdoctoral Scholars (Postdoctoral Fellows and Research Associates) with awards of excellence, offered on an annual basis. This recognition is awarded based on self nomination with recommendations by mentors (and/or trainees, for the PETMA), followed by peer review. The two categories currently awarded are in research and in mentoring and/or teaching:

Postdoctoral Excellence in Research Award (PERA), offered annually, for outstanding productivity and success in research while at MSU

Postdoctoral Excellence in Mentoring and/or Teaching Award, offered annually, for outstanding contributions as a mentor and/or teacher while at MSU
